An occupational therapy approach for adults with ADHD.
Cog-Fun helps adults build practical strategies for the everyday tasks and roles that matter to them, and make those strategies stick.
What Cog-Fun is
Cog-Fun is short for the Cognitive-Functional intervention. It is an occupational therapy method for adults with ADHD that works on executive function skills inside real daily activities rather than in the abstract.
The client sets the goals. From there, treatment builds metacognitive strategies, adjusts the person's environment to reduce friction, and relies on a strong working relationship between therapist and client so the changes carry over into ordinary life.
Who it is for
Cog-Fun is designed for adults whose ADHD gets in the way of daily functioning, whether that shows up at work, in study, at home, or in their overall wellbeing. It is used alongside other treatments, including medication, rather than as a replacement for them.
